Trapeze is a collaboration between Lärmschutz, Jan Schellink and Michiel Teunissen. Jans father was a drummer in the circus, which is why Jan has always wondered what that must have been like. With a freak show like Lärmschutz, with Michiel on clarinet and saxophone thrown in the mix, he gets pretty close to circus-madness. Lärmschutz always plays every note as if their heads were stuck in a lions mouth, and it might be their last: unapologetic, frantic and blistering. Jan likes to make his performances as colourful, playful and clownesque as possible while Michiel maintains a cool you might expect from a circus conductor, stringing everything together with a slur of sax-sounds. "Defyyyyyiiiingg graviteeeee!"
